Episode 313: NFL Draft Report: Week 4

Paul and Matt start out the show a little different this week with the NFL Rookie Report for Week 3 to discussion New York Giants Quarterback Daniel Jones. They discuss how they were wrong on his evaluation, why he looks so much better than expected, how he changes the offense, what he can do on the field and how draft twitter as a whole seems to have been very wrong in evaluating him. In addition, they discuss how after Josh Allen last year and now the early success of Daniel Jones this year, we need to start paying less attention to college quarterback stats and more at their traits and the overall environment that surrounds them in college and how it could be impacting their overall evaluation. Following the discussion on Jones, some other rookies discussed include Kyler Murray, Alexander Mattison, Tony Pollard, Irv Smith Jr., Dawson Knox, Mecole Hardman, Diontae Johnson and others.

Next up, is the NFL Draft Report for Week 4 of the college football season they discuss Jacob Eason, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Zack Moss, Jonathan Taylor, Bryan Edwards, Michael Pittman Jr, Jhamon Ausbon, Devin Duvernay, Cole Kmet and many more.

In the third segment, the Devy Slant, Matt discusses Jerrion Ealy, Ja’Marr Chase, Matt Corral and many of the other top underclassmen that stood out in Week 4.

In the final segment, the Tale of the Tape, Paul and Matt take a look at some of the top prospect matchups for week five with a focus on the prospects in Penn State vs Maryland, Ole Miss vs Alabama, USC vs Washington, Ohio State vs Nebraska and Arizona vs UCLA.
