Episode 481: 2022 WR Preview with Jason DiRienzo

Paul and Jeff are joined by Jason DiRienzo (@allpurposescout) of Devy Watch to preview the 2022 Wide Receiver Class. 

To start the show the guys discuss what traits they look for when evaluating the wide receiver position and how they believe a prospect will transfer to the NFL. Next, they discuss why they believe so many receivers are having success early in their NFL careers compared to in the past it use to take longer for receivers to make a significant impact. The last discussion in the first segment discusses their thoughts on the major wide receiver trades in the NFL and what to make of them and what it could be mean for the future. 

Next, the guys get into the main part of the podcast which is breaking down the 2022 wide receiver class. Jason starts off by sharing his general overview of the class. Following that, they go through and discuss many of the top receiver prospects in the class. The three of them discuss every relevant receiver that can be taken in the first few rounds and some intriguing day three options. 

Episode 480: 2022 QB Preview With Mark Schofield

Paul and Jeff are joined by Mark Schofield to discuss the upcoming quarterbacks from the 2022 NFL Draft. 

To start the show Paul and Jeff ask Mark his thoughts on some of the major veteran quarterbacks that have changed teams and about the top quarterbacks that have lost their elite wide receivers and what is most looking forward to seeing this upcoming season. 

Next, they revisit the 2021 quarterback prospects and Mark shares his thoughts on each of them heading into year two. 

Next, the conversation focuses on all of the top 2022 quarterbacks. Mark shares his thoughts on the top six in this class and talks through their strengths and developmental areas. Lastly Mark identifies ideal landing spots for some of these quarterbacks and talks about one day three sleeper he is intrigued with. 

Episode 479: Free Agent Frenzy (Dynasty Stock Report)

Paul starts the show by discussing the craziness of the first week of NFL Free Agency in terms of major trades and signings. He then goes through and discusses every relevant signing and trade for each offensive skill player and shares his initial thoughts on whether or not it is a stock up or down to their overall dynasty value. He also discusses the ramifications the signing or trade has on other players directly involved from the trade or signing. Lastly, he also discusses the impact some of the signings could have on the 2022 NFL Draft. 

Some of the players discussed in most detail include Aaron Rodgers, Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, Carson Wentz, Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, James Connor, Davante Adams, Allen Robinson, Christian Kirk, OJ Howard, Evan Engram and many more. 

Episode 478: Post NFL Combine Stock Report (Rankings & Tiers Updated)

With the 2022 NFL Combine in the books Paul discusses whose stock is rising and whose is declining. He goes through his offensive skill player rankings and tiers that he has updated since the Combine concluded. He shares how the Combine helped him sort out some rankings within tiers and he also discusses a few tier jumpers based on what happened at the Combine. In addition, he discusses what players he wants to go back and watch more film on to continue to try and sort out some of his rankings within tiers.

Episode 477: 2022 NFL Combine Day 3 and 4 Instant Reactions

Paul shares his thoughts and instant reactions to the final two days of the 2022 NFL Combine. He starts by discussing day three which included the defensive tackle group, then the defensive end and edge group, which was followed by the linebackers. The he discusses day four of the combine and cornerback and safety groups. For each group he talks about who looked good in the on field drills, who tested well in the 40 yard dash and the jumps and who improved or hurt their draft stock.

Episode 476: 2022 NFL Combine Day 2 Instant Reactions

Paul shares his thoughts and instant reactions to the second day of the 2022 NFL Combine. Paul discusses how the official 40 times seem to be all over the place. For the wide receivers many of the times came in much slower than the unofficial times and then last night the running back official 40 times came in much faster for some. Next, he discusses all the running backs that impressed and discusses who improved their draft stock most, whose testing matched up with their film and whose impressed or disappointed even more than their film.

To close out the show, Paul discusses the offensive linemen workouts and whose testing numbers and on field workout impressed him and solidified or improved their draft status.   

Episode 475: 2022 NFL Combine Day 1 Instant Reactions

Paul shares his thoughts and instant reactions to the first day of the 2022 NFL Combine. Paul discusses how the wide receiver group was one of the most impressive positional group workouts he has ever seen. He discusses all the receivers that impressed and discusses who improved their draft stock most, whose testing matched up with their film and whose impressed even more. Next, Paul discusses the tight end workouts and how he was disappointed so many of the top tight end prospects chose not to run the 40. He discusses the two biggest surprises from the TE workouts. Lastly, he discusses the quarterback workouts and in particular why he thinks Malik Willis will be QB 1 off the board and why his stock is rising when you look at the complete package. 

 

Episode 474: 2022 NFL Combine Preview

Paul previews the 2022 NFL Combine. He starts out the show discussing why he finds value and relevance in the Combine and how it is an integral part of the pre-draft process if you know what you are looking for and how to use the information. 

Next, Paul goes through the offensive skill positions and discusses who he is looking forward to see perform in the on field workouts and the testing drills.  

Episode 473: 2022 Wide Receiver Tiers

Paul concludes the 2022 Tierbusters Series by discussing the 2022 wide receiver prospects. Paul discusses what makes up each of the special S2S tiers and then what wide receivers are in each of the tiers. 

Paul goes through discussing every relevant wide receiver prospect in this class and which prospects may be able to jump a tier between now and draft weekend. He also discusses why he thinks six receivers will go in round one but as many as eight or nine are talented enough to be round one selections this draft. 

Episode 472: 2022 Running Back Tiers

Paul continues with the 2022 Tierbusters Series by discussing the 2022 running back prospects. Paul discusses what makes up each of the special S2S tiers and then what running backs are in each of the tiers. 

Paul goes through discussing every relevant running back prospect in this class and which prospects may be able to jump a tier between now and draft weekend. He also discusses why he does not believe any running backs will go in round 1 and that the margin of talent from RB4 to RB 12 is very thin in his tiers two and three.
