Episode 277: Dynasty Rookies Stock Report

Paul goes through and delivers a stock report for every relevant rookie following rookie minicamps. OTA practices and full team minicamps as things will be quiet from now until late July. For each rookie he discusses whether it is stock up, stock down or stock neutral compared to how people were feeling about these rookies during draft weekend and the week or two following the draft.

Episode 276: Sigmund Bloom

Paul is joined by Sigmund Bloom (@SigmundBloom) of Football Guys to discuss the 2019 rookies, their landing spots and the biggest storylines by position. The discussion starts at the quarterback position with the upside of Kyler Murray, how early could he go in rookie drafts, and what is his overall upside. Next, they quickly discuss Drew Lock, Daniel Jones and Dwayne Haskins. 

Next the focus is shifted to the running backs. The two of them discuss the consensus top three rookie RBs in Josh Jacobs, Miles Sanders and David Montgomery. Sigmund discusses why he is so high on Jacobs and why he has some reservations about Montgomery in the short term and long term.  Next, they discuss Darrell Henderson, where he should be going in drafts, his ceiling if Gurley is never the same and his floor even if Gurley is okay to play starter snaps. They also discuss why it was a perfect landing spot and marriage between player, team and scheme. To close out the running back discussion, they discuss Damien Harris and Justice Hill and their possible roles and why their landing spots make them even more intriguing. 

Next they discuss many of the top rookie wide receivers and their short and long term impact. One receiver they go in depth on is N'Keal Harry as they try to figure out how he may be utilized in the Patriots offense. They also discuss the Arizona Cardinals rookie receivers and who has the most long term value.

Paul is joined by special guest, Matt Harmon of Yahoo Fantasy. The two of them discuss the 2019 Wide Receiver class in great detail. In addition, Matt shares his thoughts and findings on many of the 2018 Rookie Wide Receivers as he evaluated them with his reception perception. 

The prospects discussed include N'Keal Harry, Deebo Samuel, DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, Marquise Brown, Miles Boykin, Mecole Hardman, AJ Brown, plus other 2019 rookies. 

The discussion on AJ Brown leads into a deeper discussion on the Tennessee Titans offense, as well as Corey Davis. When discussion Mecole Hardman, we also discussion Tyreke Hill and how his situation impacts Hardman. 

The 2018 wide receivers discussed included Dante Pettis, James Washington, Calvin Ridley, Courtland Sutton, DaeSean Hamilton, Christian Kirk, Anthony Miller, DJ Moore and his teammate, third year wide receiver Curtis Samuel.

Episode 273: Dynasty Rankings- 2018 Rookies (Present) Vs 2019 Rookies

Paul discusses the 2018 rookies after one year in the league relative to the incoming 2019 rookie class. He goes through and shares how he would have those two rookie classes ranked for dynasty leagues. He first discusses the quarterback position and gives his top 16 quarterbacks with analysis. He discusses the impact of the quarterbacks that have the ability to run in his rankings in order to keep their floor and ceiling higher. 

Next he ranks and discusses the top 30 running backs. Paul discusses that after Saquon Barkley, two through four is a challenge to rank and can be arranged in any order. Following the running backs, Paul discusses and ranks the top 15 tight ends when combining the classes. He has an interesting take on Dallas Goedart and short vs long term upside relative to Noah Fant.

Lastly, he closes the podcast discussing and ranking the top 30 wide receivers from these classes. He discusses how challenging these positional rankings were after the top four and how from five to 13 could almost be ranked in any order and can be justified.
